Bring a flashlight or headlamp for night walks as there are no streetlights.

Bring sunscreen and insect repellant as these items are quite expensive here.

If you will be renting an ATV or Golf Cart, it is advised you bring ski goggles and a bandana to cover your nose and mouth as the roads tend to be quite dusty in Dry Season.

U.S. Dollars are accepted in Costa Rica. It is best to bring $5, $10, $20 and $50 bills. Many places will not accept $100s.

Most business in town accept credit cards but this is an unreliable expectation. Always ask first to avoid a problem. It is a very cash centric town so be prepared.

Exchanging US currency for Costa Rican Colones is not necessary.  Suggest you bring adequate cash reserves with you.

Those visiting Nosara during the green season should pack roughly the same clothing along with a pair of long pants for cooler evenings; a lightweight and a rain-proof jacket.
